About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION

AAA Canada is looking for a Sealing Fitter to join its team of experts. You will contribute to the manufacture and assembly of high-precision aeronautical structures, putting your technical skills and attention to detail to good use.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret manufacturing and installation plans.
  • Trace patterns, cut, shape, assemble, and adjust sheet metal, plates, or other forms used in structures.
  • Apply sealant.
  • Assemble, adjust, repair, modify, and install mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic parts or assemblies.
  • Manufacture and assemble simple aircraft structural parts.
  • Install structural elements and adjust subassemblies or complete assemblies (aircraft airframes and systems).
  • Assemble and install prefabricated parts (covers, flight controls, hydraulic and mechanical systems).
  • Adjust and use manual or automated machines/tools.
  • Verify the conformity of assemblies using measuring and control instruments.
  • Ensure the quality and precision of the assembly in accordance with the manufacturing file.

Skills and qualifications

  • Diploma in structural assembly or system installation OR at least 5 years of experience as an aircraft fitter-assembler.
  • Required experience in sealant application.
  • Solid knowledge of structural assembly and system installation.
  • Proficiency in aviation technical language and reading blueprints.
  • Knowledge of FOD management standards.
  • Manual skills, excellent dexterity, and visual acuity. Meticulousness, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and quickly solve problems.
  • Bilingualism (French-English) in both spoken and written forms is an important asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the customer's site and for technical documentation.
