The Township of St. Clair is currently seeking fifteen (15) motivated individuals for summer Programming Student (Camp Counsellor / Front Desk Reception / Skate Patrol) positions within the Community Services Department.
Under the direct supervision of the Crew Leader, Community Programs, and the Coordinator, Community Programs, the Programming Student is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the day camp, skate patrol, and front desk reception areas. Programming Students will ensure the direct supervision and instruction of children registered in Junior or Senior Summer Camps.
The successful incumbent(s) will also ensure a courteous, supportive, and professional manner when dealing with the public.
Education and Qualifications:
Qualifications will include a current Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR certification. Preference will be given to those who possess a High School Diploma and are currently in post-secondary education in a related field.
These positions are for the 2026 summer student season within the Community Services Department. The rate of pay for this position will range from $17.60 - $20.20 per hour. Successful candidates will assume a varied schedule comprising of morning, afternoon, or evening shifts. Hours of operation consist of:
1. Day Camp
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM – 5: 30 PM
2. Skate Patrol
- Monday to Sunday
- 1.25 – 1.5 hours per skate
3. Front Desk Reception
- Monday to Sunday
- 7:15 AM – 9:30 PM
