Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Broiler and other meat-type chicken production. Chicken farming. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Livestock. Poultry and egg production. All weather conditions. Dirty. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Track and report on current feed inventory . Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Formulate feeding program. Maintain livestock performance records. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Maintain work records and logs. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Sound discrimination. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Other: Use of artificial intelligence.
