Forest Lawn Animal Hospital i s currently welcoming a Veterinarian to join our associate team! As a successful candidate for this role, you understand the importance of building relationships with our pet parents and our support team to provide the best care possible.
Responsibilities
- Soft tissue surgical procedures, end of life procedures, dental procedures and other preventative care or treatment plans for small companion animals
- Managing multiple patient appointments per shift; 10 to 15 per shift
- Take walk in appointments where necessary
- Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices
- Guiding pet owners on care and nutrition for their pets
- Coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey (externships)
- Coaching and mentoring junior veterinary technicians and assistants
Qualifications
- A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada; fully licensed from an accredited school or foreign trained with a certificate of qualification completed.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents, and the community
- The ability to efficiently manage multiple appointments throughout the day
- Accurate with medical record keeping
- Ability to adapt to each appointment and the services required for that patient
