About the role
Introduction Your Role And Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer , UAT Lead with over eight years of expertise in the banking industry to lead our User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align UAT activities with broader business objectives, manage stakeholders effectively, and ensure comprehensive testing that meets regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Test Planning: Develop and document a comprehensive UAT strategy, including detailed test plans, scopes, schedules, and entry/exit criteria. This should align with business goals, go-live timelines, and change management strategies. The UAT Lead will break down the release scope into manageable test units, ensuring they align with business priorities.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coordinate the UAT team, ensuring efficient execution of testing tasks. Motivate the team, provide guidance on testing methodologies, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Interface directly with key stakeholders such as business users, product owners, compliance teams, and project sponsors. Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring clarity of communication regarding UAT progress, challenges, and outcomes.
- Test Environment & Data Ownership: Ensure the setup, maintenance, and control of UAT environments and data. This includes coordinating with IT teams for environment provisioning, managing data refresh cycles, and implementing data masking as per regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Play a pivotal role in aligning UAT processes with regulatory projects. This includes validating audit trails, ensuring data privacy, and maintaining compliance with relevant banking regulations.
- Banking Workflow Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of retail and commercial banking workflows to ensure UAT scenarios cover all critical business processes accurately.
- Reporting: Provide efficient and effective reporting on testing progress, issues, and resolutions. This includes generating status reports, risk assessments, and test results summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Over eight years of experience in a UAT role within the banking industry.
- Proven ability in strategic test planning and execution.
- Experience leading and coordinating UAT teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of banking workflows and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, strategies, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
