What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Senior Director, Group Products & Strategy, you will play a crucial role in designing, delivering and continuously improving the end-to-end plan sponsor experience (employers and institutions offering retirement savings plans to their employees). You will provide strategic leadership to the Group Retirement Savings business within Personal Banking & Investments to define and deliver on a differentiated sponsor experience which leverages RBC’s comprehensive set of assets across Personal Banking, Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. You will be accountable for leading and managing the growth of the Group Advantage sponsor base by developing and executing on a long-term strategy to acquire and retain sponsors. You will also work collaboratively with our product team to ensure our product offerings and touchpoints align with sponsor needs across our segments (50-500 FTE).
What will you do?
- Sponsor Journey Ownership: Lead the entire sponsor journey, from onboarding to plan administration and reporting, identifying friction points and developing improvement strategies to drive satisfaction and efficiency
- Voice of the Sponsor: Act as the internal advocate for sponsors, gathering feedback and insights to influence product, operations, and technology roadmaps.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with various teams (Sales, Operations, Regulatory/Compliance, Technology) to drive initiatives that enhance sponsor engagement and plan management tools.
- Product Development Input: Collaborate with Product Managers, Digital, and UX/UI teams to ensure sponsor-facing tools and communications are intuitive, compliant, and high-value
- Performance Analytics: Develop KPIs and reporting mechanisms to monitor sponsor satisfaction, operational efficiency, and digital tool adoption.
- Change Management: Lead implementation of sponsor impacting changes, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication with sponsors and key partners (e,g. Operations and Sales).
- Compliance & Risk Oversight: Ensure sponsor experience processes and initiatives align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Experience: Preferred experience in group retirement savings, strategy development and execution, client experience lifecycle, data-driven environments, and working in a matrixed, collaborative environment.
- Skills: Logical and analytical thinking, project management, investment knowledge, business client experience, big picture thinking, process redesign, technology experience, and strong communication skills.
- Education: Undergraduate degree/diploma required; MBA, project management, and agile learning courses are nice to have.
Nice to have:
- Has worked with technology squads and in agile
- Experience working with operations teams and process management
- Experience working with external vendors
