Position Summary:

The Drilling Tools Quotations Specialist will provide inside sales and technical support, assisting with technical quoting, procurement, and internal coordination to ensure seamless operations. This role involves working closely with various departments, managing work orders, and handling technical queries. A strong analytical mindset, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in computer applications and technical expertise are also required to support efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the sales team with technical quoting and customer inquiries.

• Coordinate work orders and organize jobs for the shop floor.

• Collaborate with engineering, sales, procurement, finance, shop management, saw, and shipping departments.

• Maintain email communication, scan documents, and coordinate information flow.

• Assist in scheduling and coordinating shop equipment and machinery repairs.

• Ensure accurate data entry and communication between departments.

• Support the Procurement Manager with purchasing duties, including sourcing materials and coordinating with suppliers.

• Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) diploma (required).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong experience in reading technical drawings and a solid understanding of drilling tools.
• Machining Experience: Relevant machining experience or knowledge.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in drilling tools or drilling, is an asset.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in precision measurements, quoting, and computer applications (Excel, PDF tools).
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: Capable of working on repetitive tasks with high accuracy while handling overlapping responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, initiative in decision-making, and ability to perform under pressure.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
