CE QUE VOUS FEREZ

Le technicien d'installation 2 effectuera des tâches d'installation pour les projets sous contrat d'AVI-SPL, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, le tirage de câbles, les terminaisons de câbles, l'équipement et les composants du système, la fabrication de racks et le câblage, la disposition de l'équipement et la fabrication de métal. Le technicien d'installation 2 pourrait être amené à diriger des équipes d'installation sur des projets moins complexes, conformément aux directives et aux exigences du projet, en coordonnant et en rapportant les progrès au chef de projet, afin de s'assurer que les projets respectent les délais, l'étendue, le budget, la qualité, la sécurité et les exigences de satisfaction du client.

Responsabilités Quotidiennes Effectuer les tâches d'installation et la formation des clients comme indiqué dans le résumé du poste en fonction de la portée et des directives du projet.

Faire preuve de leadership sur le chantier et superviser la qualité du travail des techniciens de niveau

Lire et interpréter les schémas des systèmes du projet et les plans d'architecture et de construction.

Utiliser des outils manuels, des outils électriques et des équipements de test pour souder et sertir divers types de connecteurs, ainsi que pour effectuer d'autres tâches liées aux systèmes audiovisuels avancés.

tester le câblage point à point et la fonctionnalité des systèmes

Suivre, gérer et sécuriser tous les équipements et outils associés sur le chantier.

collaborer avec le personnel de bureau pour obtenir des autorisations de retour de matériel, le cas échéant

Communiquer quotidiennement au chef de projet l'état d'avancement du chantier.

Assurer la liaison avec le client sur le site conformément à la portée et aux directives du projet - transmettre les demandes de modification sur le site au chef de projet pour confirmation et orientation finale.

Communiquer et coordonner avec les autres corps de métier sur le site

Déplacements nécessaires sur divers chantiers.

What You’ll Do The Installation Technician 2 will perform installation tasks for AVI-SPL contracted projects including but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack fabrication and wiring, layout for equipment and metal fabrication. The Installation Technician 2 could be expected to lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects per project directives and requirements by coordinating and reporting progress to Project Manager ensuring projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities

  • Perform installation tasks and client training as noted in job summary based on project scope and directives
  • Demonstrate job site leadership and oversee Level 1 Technicians quality of work
  • Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints
  • Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems installation related tasks
  • Test point to point cabling and functionality of systems
  • Track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite
  • Work with office staff to initiate return material authorizations as needed
  • Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager
  • Act as customer liaison on site per project scope and directives - direct on-site change requests to Project Manager for confirmation and final direction
  • Communicate and coordinate with other trades on site
  • Travel to various job sites required
  • Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.

Items To Consider

  • AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
  • This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.

Must-Haves WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and vendors; with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely, focused on customer success and satisfaction.
  • Intermediate understanding of audio-visual systems, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing equipment, digital signage, and control systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency in installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic), and experience with conduit runs, cable trays, and other wiring methods.
  • Intermediate ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with audiovisual equipment and systems.
  • Intermediate understanding of network infrastructure and how it integrates with audiovisual systems (e.g., IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services). Ability to lead site teams on small projects.
  • Ability to lead site teams on small projects.

  • Ability to work and think independently to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate knowledge and use of specific test equipment for required applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge and application of industry installation safety codes and standards.
  • Ability to advise Project Manager on installation related concepts affecting project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Ability to advise Project Engineer in developing solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Ability to assist Programmer in loading and testing code on site.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of audiovisual installation experience required
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Formal education in Audio Visual, Electronics or related field preferred

  • External Training:

  • Valid and current AVIXA CTS General Certification preferred

  • Specific industry specific and manufacturer training / certifications to meet AVI-SPL skill/ability requirements

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course

  • Ability to obtain formal approved clearances (Government or system specific) may be required
