Pari-Mutuel Administrative Assistant

Century Mile Racetrack and Casino – Edmonton, AB

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to bring your administrative skills to the fast-paced and exciting world of horse racing and gaming? Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is looking for a Pari-Mutuel Administrative Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our wagering network.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to the behind-the-scenes operations that keep live racing and wagering running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As our Pari-Mutuel Administrative Assistant, you’ll:

  • Provide administrative support for pari-mutuel wagering operations across Century Mile, Century Downs, and our Teletheatre network.
  • Maintain accurate files, databases, and spreadsheets for wagering and site operations.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for OTB, live racing, and other wagering activities.
  • Assist with data collection, invoicing, and settlements while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Support policy and procedure development for wagering operations.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

  • Experience managing and analyzing data in spreadsheets or databases.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Flexible availability – some extended hours and occasional travel may be required.

  • High School Diploma required; a combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Knowledge of horse racing or pari-mutuel wagering is an asset but not required.
