JOB TITLE:

International and Exchange Program Coordinator Contract - Job Reference # 202512-02C

DESCRIPTION:

As part of the International Office team (within the Registrar’s Office), this position plays a key role in assisting incoming international students, inbound/outbound exchange students, and other international learning program participants. The role supports the Manager, International Office, with operational aspects of intercultural education and programs including the promotion of international student services, exchange/experiential learning, and intercultural learning. The role supports the Manager with ensuring compliance with IRCC regulations for registered international students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Manager, International Office, with immigration advising services by scheduling appointments, collecting documentation, assisting with study permit, visa, and post-graduation work permit processes, and providing related information sessions.

  • Supports the coordination of incoming and outgoing student participation in international mobility programs from application through re-entry, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and ongoing student support.

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for international and exchange students by managing daily appointments, drop-in advising, and responses to inquiries; maintain exchange student files and communicate regularly with international partner institutions.

  • Coordinates the Global Ambassadors Program, including recruitment, training, and supervision of participants.

  • Supports the Manager, International Office, with preparation and submission of the Emerging Leaders of the Americas Program (ELAP) applications, maintains related records, and liaises with relevant government and community partners.

  • Delivers pre-arrival communication, orientation, and transition support for incoming international degree and exchange students, including academic course selection and enrollment coordination.

  • Delivers information sessions, pre-departure programming, and promotional activities supporting education abroad initiatives.

  • Supports staff and faculty in advancing intercultural learning and promote international opportunities across the College.

  • Utilizes institutional databases to maintain accurate statistics and update information for international and exchange student initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have:

  • College diploma

  • A degree in a discipline offered at King’s University College is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.

  • Strong understanding of postsecondary curriculum, module/degree requirements, and academic policy.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and document-preparation skills;

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret academic information and articulate it clearly.

  • Experience in an international education is an asset.

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications; familiarity with PeopleSoft and Slate or similar student information systems is considered an advantage.

TYPE OF JOB:

Contract position – 35 hours per week until May 7, 2027

EFFECTIVE DATE:

As soon as possible

SALARY RANGE:

SSG-11 - $61,639 to $75,100, per annum, dependent on experience
