We are looking for a dedicated and diligent Intermediate Geochemist to join the Trinity Consultants Canada team. WONDERING WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with providing intermediate-level leadership within our environmental physical sciences group, specifically with respect to geochemistry and mine water quality disciplines and including supporting our company culture and values
  • Assist with maintaining key client relationships and support growth of the team and business at sites across Canada
  • Lead and execute geochemical investigations in support of mining projects (exploration through closure)
  • Conduct and interpret static and kinetic testing programs (ABA, NAG, humidity cells, column tests)
  • Perform ARD/ML assessments and water quality predictions
  • Develop and run geochemical models (e.g., PHREEQC)
  • Support mine water management and closure planning through predictive geochemistry
  • Prepare technical reports, memos, and regulatory documentation
  • Interpret large geochemical datasets and provide defensible technical conclusions
  • Provide QA/QC review of laboratory data and modelling outputs
  • Support permitting and regulatory submissions
  • Participate in client meetings and present technical findings
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, scope development, and budgeting
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff
  • Collaborate with our technical teams within our business unit

THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Intermediate-level consultant with minimum of 5 years of mining sector experience
  • Professional registration (P.Geo. or eligible) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with ARD/ML assessment and predictive modelling
  • Strong understanding of mine waste characterization and metal leaching processes
  • Experience supporting permitting and regulatory processes
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Developing a consulting acumen by being self-directed and motivated
  • Track record of achieving a high degree of client satisfaction
  • Experience in writing technical reports, memos, and letters
  • Experience with writing proposals, work scopes, and cost estimates
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment

Compensation: $40-$64 CAD per hour. The posted range reflects wages for a broad scope of experience, with starting pay determined based on education, qualifications, and experiences relevant to the role.
