Here’s Where You’ll Be Focusing

  • Lead and coordinate sanitation operations, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements in the facility.
  • Implement and monitor cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high sanitation standards
  • Ensure compliance with heath and safety regulations and company policies
  • Train staff on proper sanitation procedures and techniques
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility
  • Implement improvement to sanitation procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain sanitation equipment and order new supplies as needed
  • Address and resolve sanitation related issues and concerns
  • Coordinate cleaning for production shutdowns or special events
  • Enforces GMP and HACCP policy and procedures within the facility
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Production team

What You Have To Offer

  • High school diploma, with training in food sanitation and chemical use and relevant experience leading a sanitation team
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years of sanitation experience in food production, manufacturing or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation chemicals, chemical handling, food soils and cleaning techniques in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge for Sanitation regulations and procedures, ideally in a federal (CFIA licensed) food facility
  • Ability to read and interpret SOP’s and MSDS documents
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing plant
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
