Position Summary
Based out of either our Halifax, New Glasgow, or Mississauga offices, the IT Applications Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the effective implementation, operation, and enhancement of enterprise applications and technology solutions that enable critical business functions. This role works closely with internal teams to gather and analyze requirements, configure and test system functionality, and ensure seamless, reliable performance of applications. The IT Applications Support Analyst supports day-to-day operations, system integrations, data quality, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is focused on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM), and Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) applications, supporting the integration and optimization of systems and processes that drive efficiency, compliance, and informed decision-making across the business. Additionally, this role will:
- Analyze, document, and translate business and technical requirements into system solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and IT capabilities.
- Evaluate, test, and recommend improvements to applications, integrations, reporting tools, and IT processes.
- Support implementation, configuration, and optimization of enterprise systems, including testing, data validation, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with the intake and prioritization of application issues, enhancement requests, and service tickets.
- Collaborate with users to identify recurring technical problems and propose appropriate solutions or enhancements.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as process maps, technical requirements, configuration guides, and support procedures.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support application lifecycle activities (e.g., updates, patches, and upgrades).
- Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and user support resources.
- Monitor data integrity and system performance, escalating issues as needed.
- Participate in system risk assessments and support the development of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) plans.
- Stay current on emerging IT trends, enterprise systems, and automation tools to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support IT project management activities including timelines, communications, testing, and documentation.
- Engages across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
- Other special projects and tasks as assigned.
The profile we are looking for
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as an IT Analyst, Applications Support, or related technical role (co-op, internship, or project experience will be considered)
- Experience within real estate, financial services, or other enterprise environments considered an asset.
- Experience supporting and configuring enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, HCM/HRIS, ESG, CRM, or financial systems).
- Hands-on experience with software testing, troubleshooting, data validation, and user support.
- Experience working with both cloud-based and on-premises systems is an asset.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices.
- Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC), business analysis analysis, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Proficiency with tools such as SQL, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to partner effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with curiosity and drive to optimize systems, processes, and user experiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices is considered an asset.
- Experience with Yardi is also considered an asset.
