About The Opportunity
On behalf of our client, a fully integrated real estate management platform serving institutional and private real estate owners across North America, we are seeking a Property Office Administrator to join the Edmonton office. This role sits at the intersection of office administration, property support, and accounts payable, ideal for a highly organized self-starter who enjoys variety and wants a foothold in commercial real estate.
The successful candidate will be the face of the office —professional, resourceful, and unflappable under a fast-paced, multi-tasking workload—while also providing meaningful support to the property management and accounting teams.
You're the person people come to because they know it will get done and done well.
You've likely worked in a fast-paced office or property environment, and you're comfortable serving as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while also managing supply, coordinating with vendors, and processing invoices behind the scenes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a given; comfort with accounting or property management software, such as Yardi, is a strong asset. This role offers direct exposure to property administration and accounts payable functions, serving as an opportunity to enter the commercial real estate industry.
The compensation package includes a $50,000–$65,000 base salary range, commensurate with experience. Our client is an advocate for equity and diversity in the workplace and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
Front Office & Client Experience Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and team members, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment Manage incoming calls, mail, and courier logistics Maintain meeting rooms and common areas, and coordinate room scheduling
Office Operations
Maintain office and kitchen supply inventories, placing orders and tracking an administration budget Troubleshoot general office equipment and manage vendor relationships for repairs and service Maintain an accurate corporate contact list and coordinate business card orders for new and existing staff Liaise with building management to resolve facility issues Coordinate shredding, cleaning, and plant maintenance services Train and coordinate temporary coverage for the role during absences
People & Events
Support onboarding of new employees, including welcome packages and orientation materials Coordinate internal and company-wide social events, catering, and office functions Assist with expense report preparation and processing for allocated team members
Property & Accounts Support
Support property administration staff in sorting, distributing, and processing corporate and property-level invoices Set up and maintain vendor records in the property accounting system Generate and distribute financial and operational reports as needed Assist with office reorganization or expansion projects as they arise
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in reception, office administration, or customer service Exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment Positive, service-oriented attitude with a strong sense of ownership Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable drafting correspondence and reports Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; Canva or design experience is an asset High attention to detail, thoroughness, and reliability This is an in-office position
