A successful candidate will be able to review and analyze project requirements, specifications, plan, design and installation. This position is responsible for designing fixtures to ensure specification of requirements are met and delivered within budget and on time.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D designs and drawings

• Produce working drawing, detailed drawings, and bills of materials

• Ensure designs meet customer standards and satisfaction

• Collaborate with Quality on GD&T print tolerances

Qualifications

• Complete knowledge of GD&T. Solidworks and Surfacing considered to be an asset.

• Mechanical engineering degree or Mechanical Technician-CAD/CAM diploma with a minimum of 1-2 years design experience using Mechanical Desktop or solidworks software.

• Working knowledge of Automation Systems including resistance & mig welding, material handling, shop floor follow-up, and timelines to meet customer goals. M

• Experience in project management, robotics, design of check fixtures, and an understanding of capability studies and CMM reports would be an asset.

• Ability to work in a fast paced/team environment.
