They enjoy turning ideas into polished digital experiences and understand that great websites are built through thoughtful execution, consistency, and continuous improvement. You approach web design as a balance of creativity, usability, accessibility, and modern tooling, using AI where it helps and your own judgment where it matters most.

Expectations Assist with the creation and refinement of website designs, wireframes, and mockups for school board projects Support content migration, page building, and responsive website implementation using Content Manager and other in-house tools Help ensure websites meet accessibility standards, responsive design requirements, and established design patterns Participate in design reviews, quality assurance activities, website launches, and ongoing website updates Comfortable receiving feedback, working within established processes, and collaborating with both internal teams and school board partners Comfortable working with AI-assisted design workflows and using modern tools to support ideation, content preparation, accessibility reviews, and production tasks while continuing to develop strong design judgment Interested in continuously developing skills in web design, user experience, accessibility, and front-end technologies

Requirements Experience designing responsive digital experiences using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Understanding of accessibility standards and user experience best practices Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and consistency Ability to travel for professional development, conferences, team events, and occasional on-site meetings Bonus points if you can spot a misaligned pixel from across the room or get excited about a perfectly organized design file A portfolio website showcasing relevant web design, UI/UX, or digital project work must be included with the application. Applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered.

Perks + Compensation Remote work Salary range of $42,000 - $55,000 (based on experience) Flexible health spending account Unlimited paid time off in addition to mandatory vacation time An excellent environment to learn modern web design, accessibility, and digital experience best practices
