Lazer Commerce is a specialized team within Lazer focused on crafting scalable, high-performing commerce experiences across the Shopify ecosystem. We partner with forward-thinking brands and agencies to design and implement custom storefronts, headless architectures, and robust backend integrations. From theme development to complex ERP and OMS workflows, our engineers bring deep expertise in Shopify, modern frameworks, and commerce infrastructure to help clients launch, scale, and optimize their digital retail experiences.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer, Integrations & Systems Architecture to lead complex Shopify integrations with ERPs, OMS, CMS platforms, and third-party systems. You'll be working at the intersection of commerce infrastructure and backend engineering, designing scalable integration pipelines that power global storefronts.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain custom backend integrations for Shopify with ERP, OMS, and CMS systems
- Build and deploy services using Node.js, Remix, and Next.js
- Handle data migration and data integration tasks from legacy systems to Shopify
- Work with platforms like Manhattan, Netsuite, D365, Contentful, Strapi, and Sanity
- Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas and data transformations
- Utilize iPaaS tools where needed (e.g., Celigo, MuleSoft, Workato)
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and technical teams to ensure secure and reliable data flows
- Monitor, document, and optimize integration pipelines
Who You Are:
- Extensive experience with Shopify backend integrations
- Proficient in Node.js, Remix, and Next.js
- Solid understanding of data migration, data mapping, and ETL processes
- Experience working with ERPs (D365, Netsuite), OMS (Manhattan), and CMS platforms
- Skilled in PostgreSQL and API authentication flows
- Familiar with iPaaS solutions and cloud deployment best practices
- Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and time zones
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with Shopify Functions
- Familiarity with POS Extensions
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Vercel)
