About the role
Summary of Duties
-
Provide front-line technical/operational support for IT/Business Systems. This includes but is not limited to:
- Desktop support (MAC and Windows based devices)
- Office application support: Office 2010/2013, Adobe Acrobat, Remote Server, TeamViewer, etc.
- Avaya based telephone system
- Escalate technical and communications-related issues to second-level technician as required
- Deliver enhanced support during emergencies and deployments
- IT equipment maintenance and implementation support
- Installation, configuration and implementation of new hardware and software as directed

Perform routine maintenance tasks as required that include but are not limited to:
- Inventory audit
- Backup tape maintenance
- Software patches
- Two-way radios, IPads, printers, Internet routers, switches and other communication devices

Participate in the Information Technology Working Group (ITWG) and assist in the selection of technological solutions for the Centre

Assist with procuring departmental IT hardware and software using Sunnybrook approved processes (e.g. utilizing Vendor of Record via Plexxus)

Liaise with corporate Sunnybrook Information Services Team and assist with compliance to all Corporate IT policies and procedures

Assist in documentation for systems and IT processes which include but not limited to:
- User Manuals
- Process workflows
- Network Diagrams
- Meeting & Project documentation

Assist with inventory management and assets location/tracking

Other technical/administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills
-
College program in computer science and 2 years’ related experience or 3-5 years’ experience in a front line helpdesk/informatics environment or equivalent

Advanced Proficiency desired in the following areas:
-
MS Office (especially, Excel, Word, Access, Visio and PowerPoint)
-
Operating Systems: MAC OS/IOS, Android OS, Windows 7 & 10
-
Desktop support knowledge
-
Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Acrobat, Photoshop)
-
MCSA or MCSE certification is preferred
-
Ability to lift a minimum of 40Lbs
-
Ability to work independently
-
Excellent people and customer service skills
