Job#: 3013808 Job Description: Senior BSA - Data Migration Line of Business: Wealth Management

Length of Contract: 10- months (potential for extension)

Location: Downtown Toronto (2 days/week)

Position Scope: To assist in leading a Wealth data migration and transformation project to AWS cloud. The purpose is to ensure proper data governance, and allow all data insights to be easily accessible to leadership and business stakeholders on BI tools to make informed investment decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead business analysis activities for a large‑scale Wealth data migration and transformation initiative to AWS.
• Define and document source‑to‑target data mapping, transformation rules, and business logic.
• Partner with data engineering teams to design and validate data ingestion pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards, ensuring data quality, lineage, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Wealth business stakeholders, architecture, and BI/reporting teams to clarify requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications for data modeling and transformation.
• Support data validation, profiling, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
• Produce high‑quality documentation including mapping specifications, data dictionaries, flows, and functional requirements.
• Contribute to UAT planning and execution, troubleshooting data issues and guiding resolution efforts.
• Enable leadership and business teams to access actionable insights through modern BI tools.

Key Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Understanding of Wealth/Investment/Asset Management data domains are an asset
• Deep expertise in data mapping, data lineage, and data transformation workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with data ingestion pipelines and data feed integrations (batch and/or streaming).
• Strong SQL skills for data profiling, querying, and validation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and tools, preferably within AWS (Glue, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, etc.).
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices, including metadata and quality management.
• Experience working with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight).
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
