Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on supervisory role that supports the daily operations of the housekeeping department and plays a key part in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms and public areas as needed
- Assist with staff scheduling and shift coordination
- Manage employee relations and resolve disputes professionally
- Address guest concerns and complaints with empathy and efficiency
- Liaise with the Maintenance Team and Front Desk to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor inventory and uphold safety and cleanliness standards
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff to meet performance expectations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Familiarity with northern climates and remote hospitality operations is an asset
- Only candidates who are legally entitled to work in Canada will be considered; employer sponsorship is not available for this position
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $57,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
- Performance-based bonus eligibility
- Subsidized shared staff housing available to support relocation and living needs
- Additional benefits may include health coverage and staff discounts
