What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair commercial transport / transit vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools
- Perform preventative maintenance and CVIP inspections (as qualified and authorized)
- Operate buses for testing and diagnostics as required
- Maintain accurate service records and support parts procurement
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and management to meet shop priorities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Mentor apprentices and support training and development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson Commercial Transport Technician (Red Seal) OR
- 4th-year registered Commercial Transport Technician apprentice close to ticket completion
- We may also consider: AST or Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Red Seal with demonstrated commercial / on-road fleet experience, air brake endorsement, and the ability to meet CVIP regulatory requirements (including inspection sign-off where applicable)
- Air Brake endorsement
- Demonstrated competency in brakes, steering, suspension, and preventative maintenance
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement (maximum 3 demerits)
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and safety-first mindset
CVIP & Compliance
- CVIP licence preferred
- Candidates without CVIP may be considered if willing and eligible to obtain, or able to meet regulatory requirements under supervision during onboarding
Bonus Points
- Transit, coach, or fleet maintenance experience
- Experience with electronic work order / maintenance management systems
- Class 1, 2, or 3 licence with air endorsement
