Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Commercial Strategy, the Sr. Analyst, Commercial Strategy will play a pivotal role in the execution of a cross-functional sales strategy for the Specialty Health Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various Specialty Health business units to implement initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness, improve operational efficiency and support the broader Specialty Health sales strategy.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a collaborative and strategic mindset, and a passion for driving business performance through data-driven insights and process improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of Specialty Health’s commercial strategy and play a key role in supporting the achievement of the sales strategy objectives.

Location: 2300 Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON

Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site at least 2 days per week at our designated office location. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Specific Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy Support:

  • Support the launch of our refreshed Specialty Health Go to Market strategy and create customer-facing tools that encompasses our entire customer value proposition to fully activate our customer experience.
  • Execute a cross-functional collaborative conference and trade show plan for Specialty Health including budget tracking, managing a participant list, post-event follow ups and collecting key performance indicators.
  • Implement client segmentation and competitive intelligence initiatives to inform our cross-business unified sales strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market conditions and industry trends, as well as McKesson Specialty Health business operations to inform business marketing and sales strategy.
  • Support initiatives and enhancements that increase efficiency in the Sales organization, including working with Specialty Health business leaders on the execution of our CRM.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for process improvements across deliverables.
  • Track and report key performance indicators related to sales strategy execution.

Strategic Pricing and Market Analysis:

  • Utilizing your understanding of the business and market landscape, prepare business cases and P&Ls for new opportunities, responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and pipeline revenue estimates.
  • Support the development and maintenance of pricing models and tools to support sales negotiations in collaboration with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Conduct analyses and propose innovative ideas for a pricing strategy that will ensure profitable delivery of the corporate growth objectives and maintain market competitiveness.
  • Monitor market trends and internal data to identify pricing opportunities and support strategic recommendations.
  • Provide recommendations for continual improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of our pricing portfolio.
  • Support other strategic pricing initiatives as required.

Proposal Writing:

  • In collaboration with internal stakeholders, write proposals and RFP responses that strategically address the client’s needs, under the direction of the account lead.
  • Create detailed project plans, involve cross-functional contributors, anticipate and resolve timeline challenges, and ensure clear communication of tasks and internal deadlines for efficient engagement of resources and timely completion of responses.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to enhance proposal quality, processes, and overall effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in relevant discipline. MBA or other Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the biopharma and/or healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge in the Canadian biopharma landscape, including patient services, market access, pharmacy programs, or related Specialty health care field.

Key Competencies

  • Prior experience with health economic modeling, patient support programs, and IQVIA data sets are a definite asset.
  • Robust financial and process excellence acumen.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas relating to a cross-functional sales strategy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; results orientated, passionate and driven to succeed.
  • High sense of urgency with ability to multi-task and work proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Strong Team Player, skilled at influencing stakeholders, securing commitment, and fostering positive working relationships with various business partners.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word), and knowledge of or experience with CRM an asset.
  • Bilingual (English and French), both written and spoken an asset.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
