About the Opportunity
Our Kamloops office is looking to add an Accounting Technician to our Financial Stewardship team. Our Financial Stewardship team serves the financial and accounting needs of our entire company. With the continued growth of our company and expanding services and geographies, we are looking for an individual who is interested in building their career with us and is eager to contribute to all aspects of our team. In this role, you will work closely with existing team members, Branch Leaders, Project Leaders, Project Coordinators, and Administration team members to help ensure the smooth, efficient delivery of our accounting services.
Coupled with the diverse learning and project experience opportunities, do you see yourself excited to contribute to:

Working collaboratively within the Financial Stewardship team to support a wide range of accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, billings, general ledger, financial statements, tax and compliance, and internal and external reporting.

Reviewing weekly payments for accuracy and reasonability.

Supporting the month-end close and ongoing financial reporting for five related entities.

Preparing GST and PST returns and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.

Preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations.

Maintaining company accounting records and systems, and participating in the development and implementation of information systems

Contributing to year-end processes by assisting with working papers and the preparation of financial statements for multiple entities.

Providing financial data, analysis, and support for ad‑hoc requests and special projects across the organization.

Partnering with branch teams by providing regular financial reporting and support, including occasional travel to branch offices as required.

Participating in the ongoing development, improvement, and implementation of accounting processes, procedures, and information systems.

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery across financial operations.
About You

Our ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited accounting technician, accounting, or business program with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance environment.
