Compensation: Total compensation range is $90,000-140,000 including base salary, commission and profit sharing

The Role.

We’re hiring an Account Director, Ecommerce (Director, Client Success) to lead the strategy, organization, and performance of a portfolio of ecommerce clients.

This is a senior, all-encompassing account leadership role. You will be fully responsible and accountable for managing every aspect of the accounts within your assigned portfolio. Success in this role requires someone who can balance quality project delivery with strategic thinking and client partnership, all while effectively managing the execution of work across a portfolio of clients.

You are the central point of accountability for your clients. You own the strategy, prioritize deliverables, coordinate internal teams, and ensure every initiative moves forward with clarity and purpose.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-ownership environment, where organization, prioritization, and follow-through are critical. You know how to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, keep teams aligned, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

You are a digital-first marketer who understands performance marketing and the ecommerce landscape. You can connect strategic thinking with tactical execution and are equally comfortable discussing growth strategy, budgets, ROI, and operational planning.

Above all, you bring structure to complexity. You know how to organize deliverables, set priorities, manage timelines, and move work forward efficiently across clients and internal teams.

This is a role for someone who takes full ownership of outcomes, leads with confidence, and builds trusted partnerships with both clients and colleagues.

The Responsibilities.

The longer version:

-Portfolio Ownership: Fully own and manage a portfolio of ecommerce clients. You are responsible and accountable for all aspects of the relationship, strategy, and delivery. -Deliverables Organization & Prioritization: Manage multiple client workstreams simultaneously. Prioritize initiatives, organize deliverables, manage timelines, and ensure projects move forward smoothly and efficiently. -Client Partnership & Growth: Act as a strategic advisor to your clients. Build trusted relationships and identify opportunities to expand services and deliver additional value. -Strategic Leadership: Partner with lead strategists to produce digital marketing strategies that drive measurable growth for ecommerce brands. -Deep Digital Marketing Understanding : Know the digital landscape for DTC ecommerce brands so well you could build one yourself. You understand their marketing needs, growth levers, and opportunities at a deep, strategic level. -Internal Coordination: Brief internal teams clearly and effectively. Ensure specialists have the direction, context, and priorities they need to execute successfully. -Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage invoicing, client budgets, profitability, and overall portfolio health with precision. -Capacity & Resource Management: Stay ahead of team capacity and resource needs. Ensure the right expertise is allocated to the right initiatives. -Operational Excellence: Create clarity across multiple projects and timelines. Ensure deadlines are met, expectations are clear, and nothing falls through the cracks. -Thought Leadership: Bring proactive ideas, insights, and recommendations that help clients stay ahead in a competitive ecommerce landscape.

The Qualifications.

  • Do you have 7+ years of experience in account management, client services, or digital strategy roles?
  • Have you worked at an agency before? Brand side? We’re looking for experience with both
  • Do you have direct experience managing marketing campaigns for ecommerce brands?
  • Are you exceptionally organized with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities simultaneously?
  • Can you prioritize competing deliverables and keep teams aligned across multiple client initiatives?
  • Do you have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a client-first mindset?
  • Are you a strategic thinker who can identify growth opportunities and solve challenges creatively?
  • Can you demonstrate a track record of leading client strategy and driving measurable growth outcomes?
  • Do you have experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing resources in a fast-paced environment?
  • Do you have a deep understanding of digital marketing channels, performance metrics, and ecommerce growth strategies?
