About the role
We’re looking for a full-time, on-site Construction Project Manager based in Owen Sound, Ontario, within the healthcare and institutional construction environment. Our client is a well-established healthcare organization responsible for delivering and maintaining high-quality hospital and clinical facilities across the region. The organization is focused on ensuring safe, efficient, and modern infrastructure that supports high-quality patient care. The Construction Project Manager will play a key role in delivering multiple capital projects across active facilities, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Canadian construction standards and healthcare requirements. Responsibilities Manage multiple concurrent capital construction and renovation projects from planning through completion within active healthcare environments. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective project execution. Administer project documentation including contracts, schedules, change orders, reporting, and meeting records. Support contract administration activities including tracking deliverables and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Act as the key coordination point between internal stakeholders and external project partners to ensure alignment throughout all phases. Monitor project progress and ensure delivery against scope, schedule, and budget expectations. Coordinate architectural, mechanical, electrical, and interior planning components to ensure integrated project delivery. Support space planning and interior-related improvements such as layout adjustments, signage, and flooring updates as required. Ensure adherence to applicable Canadian construction practices, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Proactively manage project coordination and documentation to reduce administrative workload on internal leadership teams. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to support timely decision-making and issue resolution. Qualifications 3–5 years of progressive experience in construction project management, ideally within institutional, healthcare, or public sector environments. Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences. PMP designation or working toward certification considered an asset. Familiarity with GCDC or similar public-sector construction contracts is an asset. Experience in healthcare construction or similarly complex operational environments is considered an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reporting, documentation, and project tracking. Compensation & Benefits The discussed salary range is $95,000 – $115,000, depending on experience. Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
