We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Senior/Intermediate Water Resources Engineer with a passion for habitat restoration, geomorphology, and river engineering works, to join Ecofish Research Ltd. and Minnow Environmental, both Trinity Consultants Canada teams. The location of this job is flexible, based out of one of our office locations in Western Canada with opportunity for remote/hybrid work schedules.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Your role will require you to bring a high standard of technical excellence to your daily work. Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead projects focused on habitat restoration, river engineering, geomorphology, and natural channel design.

  • Provide technical expertise in multi-disciplinary project teams, working collaboratively with other engineers, scientists, and biologists.

  • Plan and execute engineering designs and studies focused on fisheries and aquatic resources.

  • Civil design and drafting to support development of project deliverables including calculations, reports, construction cost estimates and drawings.

  • Take part in business development, R&D, and internal process development related to engineering and restoration projects.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnical Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering. Graduate degree considered an asset.

  • Passion for habitat restoration geomorphology, and river engineering to support salmon restoration objectives.

  • PEng or relevant professional designation in BC, or eligible for registration.

  • 5-15 years of consulting experience related to water resource engineering design and construction.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3d for civil design and drawing production.

  • Construction management and field experience.

  • Effective analytical and technical writing skills with the ability to produce high quality reports and proposals.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to technical quality and excellence.

  • Effective and demonstrated communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
