Richelieu Hardware is currently seeking an Industrial Sales Representative for the Montreal/Laval territory for its Decotec/Panexel division. Reporting to the Industrial Sales Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales within the assigned territory, establishing and maintaining long‑term business relationships with customers and prospects, and actively contributing to the company’s growth.

The role also involves promoting a range of specialized materials intended for cabinetmakers, furniture manufacturers, the RV industry, and contractors, including melamine panels, particleboard, MDF, plywood, hardwood, laminates, surface products, and much more.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Development: Prospect new business opportunities and build relationships with potential customers within the territory. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Develop sales and promote the full range of products within the assigned territory. Coordinate and lead product presentation meetings (Lunch & Learn) with customers. Ensure proper distribution of samples to clients. Participate in corporate and industry events. Prepare visit reports and update customer files in the CRM. Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding product changes, pricing updates, or improvements. Work closely with the internal team to ensure efficient order processing and delivery. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business development strategy and marketing plan.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must reside within the sales region: Estrie and Centre‑du‑Québec. Experience in hardware products or materials related to cabinetmaking (strong asset). Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales or representation. Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and attention to detail. High school diploma combined with relevant experience (a college diploma is an asset). Excellent communication skills and ability to build long‑term business relationships. Strong proficiency with computer software: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Strong results‑oriented mindset and customer service focus. Must own a vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license. Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written.
