RESPONSIBILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH PERFORMING THE JOB
- Supervises and plans work schedules; selects, trains and monitors work performance of assigned personnel; performance appraisals for personnel in assigned division.
- Schedules and conducts training and safety meetings for assigned personnel as necessary.
- Supervises and manages janitorial services, maintenance, repair, cleaning, and fleet equipment/inventory by insuring a clean and safe facilities.
- Reads and interprets diagrams, schematics, contracts, and work orders.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and plans and implements efficient and effective solutions.
- Completes relevant department reports and maintains other work‐related records as needed.
- Supervises equipment and building repair and maintenance tasks, including general carpentry work, painting, concrete, welding, plumbing, and building electrical systems.
- Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance with outside contractors
- Enforce safety rules and procedures and oversee ongoing training of maintenance staff
- Maintain accurate facility records and prepare reports for management
SKILL/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field.
- Prior experience in a supervisory position
- Knowledge of maintenance systems, technical operations, and building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
