Celebrating our natural abundance, Drift’s culinary vision is to showcase the East Coast’s most beloved ingredients stemming from a vibrant community of artisans, producers, farmers and fishers. Chef Anthony Walsh has crafted menus featuring eclectic interpretations of familiar Maritime fare. Job Description
Under the direction of the General Manager, Drift is seeking a Server Assistant responsible for supporting the service team and ensuring a seamless flow of service and overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
What you will be doing as a Server Assistant
Expertly answering questions about food, beverage, wine and other restaurant functions and services; Proficiently assisting with food running that plates arrive to the proper guest, using table and seat numbers, without needing to “auction off” dishes; Emptying garbage, linen bags and disposing of garbage and recycling; Monitoring the cleanliness of sections and ensuring all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter; Professionally communicating with servers and hosts to maximize seating; Communicating to all servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience; Keenly following all food safety standards and systems; Such other related duties and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.
The person we are looking for has
A valid Serve Right Certification; Previous experience in a similar restaurant is considered an asset; Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment; Organizational skills; Ability to take direction and prioritize a variety of tasks at once; Strong oral communication skills; High level of product knowledge.
