Job Summary: The Director of Operations is responsible for all regional station operations, ensuring that the delivery of services is consistent, professional, safe, and secure. The role requires a seasoned senior manager with strong operational and business understanding and leadership skills. The incumbent must have the ability to run a business in a challenging environment.

Job Duties:
- Oversight of Operational leadership and drives safety, operational performance, customer experience, and financial results.
- Evaluate daily staffing and ensures resources are aligned for optimum performance.
- Anticipate future staffing needs and ensure proactive recruitment measures are implemented.
- Full P&L responsibility.
- Daily labour management.
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans consistent with customer expectations.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in the operation process and communicate them to the executive team and customer.
- Build effective partnerships with internal departments, outside vendors, contractors, business partners, communities, and other business entities.
- Interacts regularly with the executive team to ensure operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
- Promotes team-building initiatives and performs coaching and mentoring activities to develop and motivate team members.
- Ensures information is communicated in a clear, accurate, and comprehensive manner.
- Participates in employee relations investigations when complaints are brought forth and resolves issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitors and enforces safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
- Promotes and adheres to policies, including but not limited to, Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in airline ground handling services.
- Experience managing a budget.
- Must have the ability to identify, evaluate and refine operational and financial results and manage to meet target performance.
- Must be able to lead team members effectively, as well as coach and develop individuals toward meeting corporate and individual goals.
- Lead innovation by teaching, consensus-building, and project execution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and be self-starting on tasks within area of expertise.
- Ability to lead and demonstrate initiative and work well in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a solid decision-maker with exceptional analytical skills.
- Must be able to obtain credentials required as per local authorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of six years in an aviation ground operations station or regional leadership position.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.
Working conditions:
- You will need to have flexibility in your schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. We operate 365 24/7 operations.
- Must be willing and able to travel as operationally needed.
