About the role
Your planning skills enable you to manage production schedules with proven efficiency. We are looking for an organized mind like yours to orchestrate the production plan for our flagship product: our track assemblies and their components. In this position, you will closely monitor production capacity, continuously adjust the plan, and manage supply issues. In collaboration with our engineering teams, you will analyze and process change requests, thereby having a direct impact on the quality of our deliveries, a crucial aspect at Soucy!
In This Position, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Develop and update production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and available capacity
- Adjust schedules in real time in the event of unforeseen circumstances (breakdowns, delays, urgent priorities, etc.)
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory management teams to ensure the supply of raw materials and components, while avoiding surpluses
- Identify and implement improvements to planning processes in order to optimize efficiency and reduce manufacturing lead times
- Analyze production data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
- Monitor performance indicators (on-time delivery, overtime, service rates, etc.) and apply corrective measures in case of deviations
- Work closely with production, quality, and development teams to facilitate the integration of new products and ensure smooth processes
- Participate in production follow-up meetings to share relevant information and propose solutions to problems encountered
- Ensure delivery deadlines are met by clearly defining priorities and ensuring efficient production execution

- College diploma (DEC) or university degree in industrial engineering, logistics administration, operations management, or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Functional English to communicate with our US and Ontario customers.
- Computer skills: Proficiency in production management software (ERP) and Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain processes
- Ability to effectively manage priorities and unforeseen events and to optimize the structure of activities
- Ability to quickly adjust schedules and resources in response to unforeseen events or last-minute changes
- Ability to identify areas for improvement, anticipate risks, and propose relevant solutions
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams (production, quality, purchasing) and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers)
- Service-oriented and able to reconcile customer expectations with the operational realities of the business
