44.98 to 54.70 per hour (Subject to employment status - Graduate RNCA - $43.18 ; Registered Nurse - as per the salary range indicated)
JOB PURPOSE
To participate in the planning and delivery of total nursing care to meet individual patient needs in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies of the nursing service, Neuro Rehab and Surgery Program and Horizon Health Network. Performs other duties as assigned. May be reassigned or required to float throughout the program as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently registered with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick
- Demonstrates and understands the Nursing Process
- CPR certification
- Possesses the medical/surgical nursing knowledge and clinical skills/expertise necessary to provide care.
- PN - parental nutrition
- CVAD line - central venous access device
- PCA - patient controlled analgesia and epidurals
- Wound vac application and maintenance
- Cardiac care education as directed.
- Care of the dying and family care
- Pain management courses
- Other medical surgical competencies as necessary
- Neuro Assessment- Glasgow Coma Scale and other Neuro Specific assessment and interventions
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Ability to perform the duties of the position
- Good work record
