What we offer
At SAMI, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the operating model and strategy of one of Canada’s most advanced and ambitious technology/manufacturing companies. You will work directly with the General Manager and senior leadership team, driving strategic projects across the organization. This is a high-impact role where you’ll create the foundations for SAMI to continue to efficiently scale. What you’ll do
- Create and lead our corporate operating rhythm (e.g., goal setting, business review processes, KPI management and performance tracking).
- Drive high-impact strategic projects across the organization.
- Stand up and support the initial execution of new functions or divisions, bridging gaps until long-term ownership is established.
- Partner with Finance to shape and execute the strategic planning process, aligning budgets and forecasts with operational goals.
- Lead cross-function initiatives, ensuring alignment and acting as the “glue” across all departments within SAMI (Volumetric Modular, Structural Components, Cabinetry & Millwork, Technology, Finance, People & Culture, Procurement, and Logistics).
- Enable process improvement, standardizing and optimizing business processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Provide disciplined project management, setting scope, timelines, and ROI tracking for major initiatives.
- Support other leaders through decision support for leadership team, prepare board materials, and coordinate sensitive cross-department priorities.
- Other duties as assigned
What you bring
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and certifications.
- 7–12+ years’ experience in operations leadership, management consulting, strategy, or a technology/manufacturing scale-up.
- Builder mindset, you thrive in ambiguous, scaling environments and can create structure from scratch.
- Proven track record in driving cross-functional projects in complex environments.
- Strong analytical skills (Excel, PowerBI/Tableau, financial modeling, KPI design).
- Program/project management discipline — able to run PMO-like governance while being hands-on.
- Clear communicator who can influence peers, execs, and plant-level operators alike with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to summarize strategies into a clear and concise narrative.
Bonus Points
- Experience at a high growth scale-up
- Certifications or designations in project management
