With multiple legal entities and offices across Canada, the United States, Spain, and Germany, we are seeking a dedicated Financial Business Analyst to join our finance team.

Role Purpose The Financial Business Analyst (FBA) is responsible for managing forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis activities to support business unit performance and enable informed decision-making. Acting as a trusted finance partner, this role provides actionable insights, identifies risks and opportunities, and supports business leaders in achieving financial and operational objectives.

Job Requirements Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience within a Finance department.
  • Minimum 2+ years in a financial planning and analysis role.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into business insights.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with ERP and FP&A systems; automation mindset.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial, team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and results orientation.

Job Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Prepare accurate and timely forecasts and budgets in partnership with business unit leaders.
  • Monitor results against budget and forecast; investigate and clearly articulate variances.
  • Identify emerging risks and opportunities and communicate implications proactively.
  • Support analysis of sales pipeline, resource allocation, utilization, and overall business unit profitability.
  • Develop ROI analysis and financial models to support investment and strategic decisions.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support both recurring and ad hoc analysis.

Performance Reporting & Business Insights

  • Produce insightful, meaningful, and actionable reporting focused on key business drivers.
  • Deliver clear financial commentary to enable informed decision-making.
  • Develop customized reporting to support client and practice teams.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to business unit leaders on operational and strategic matters.

Financial Operations & Close Support

  • Participate in month-end close activities, including:
    1. Identifying accruals
    2. Investigating variances
    3. Reconciling accounts
    4. Preparing journal entries
  • Ensure financial accuracy and integrity in reporting outputs.

Systems, Tools & Process Optimization

  • Assist in the administration of financial planning and analysis systems.
  • Provide finance support for corporate business intelligence systems.
  • Leverage advanced Excel capabilities (large data manipulation, pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros, simulations, modeling).
  • Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives within finance processes.
  • Utilize financial ERP and FP&A systems effectively; working knowledge of NetSuite and Power BI is an asset.

Job Benefits

Compensation : The expected base salary compensation for this role is $68,900 to $88,500 CAD annually.
