About the role

Position Department: Men's Basketball

Position School: Administration Overview: This individual provides critical operational, analytical, and administrative support to the coaching staff in a high-pressure, elite collegiate environment.

This role focuses heavily on the program's video operations, spearheading

detailed film breakdown, opponent analysis, and scouting preparation.

Additionally, the assistant manages day-to-day logistics—including team travel

coordination, oversight of student managers, and monitoring player academic progress—while assisting with on-court practice logistics. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a relentless work ethic, strong basketball acumen, and unwavering compliance with NCAA Division I, conference, and institutional regulations.

Responsibilities

Someone who manages the program's daily administrative logistics while serving as a vital bridge for player-to-coach engagement. Responsibilities include assisting in team travel, overseeing the undergraduate student manager program, assisting in organizing summer youth camps, and monitoring student-athlete academic progress and study hall attendance. Crucially, this role acts as an accessible liaison for the student-athletes, fostering strong relationship-building, tracking player morale, and helping translate coaching expectations into daily player development. Additionally, the assistant supports basic video operations, assists with on-court practice setup, and ensures strict compliance with all NCAA Division I, conference, and institutional regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Admission to a graduate degree program at Robert Morris University. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as required. Preferred Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience. Strong interest in pursuing a career in collegiate coaching or athletic administration.
