Job Details Position Title: Alumni Development Assistant

Status: Temporary Part-Time Support

Hours: 24 hours per week

Program/Department: Alumni Services, University of Guelph-Humber

Campus/Location: The University of Guelph-Humber (207 Humber College Blvd, Toronto) is located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit.

Salary: EPEW Band 8 (Start $30.62 - Max $35.50)

Duration of Need: Until September 26, 2026

About The Alumni Development Assistant Role Under the direction of the Alumni Advancement Coordinator and Manager of Transitions & Engagement, the Alumni

Development Assistant acts as the key information management personnel for all University of Guelph-Humber alumni

related activities and is responsible for accurately capturing, tracking and recording individual alumni engagement and donor activity as well as correspondences, alumni

activity related media content, and alumni records updates.

The Alumni Development Assistant also assists the Alumni Advancement Coordinator in the planning and execution of all alumni engagement activities and programs. In addition,

the Alumni Development Assistant is responsible for gathering content for, and sending out, the regular monthly Alumni

Enews, social media postings, and acting as the first point of contact for all inquiries via email, phone, web and social

media. Also, the Alumni Development Assistant assists in administering the institution's mentorship platform.

Qualifications What you bring to the role: Education The successful candidate will have a university degree in a related field.

Experience And Skills

  • Minimum of two years of experience working with Alumni is preferred.

  • Direct event management experience is required.

  • Experience with the Adobe Suite including InDesign and Illustrator is considered an asset.

  • Familiarity with MailChimp is preferred.

  • High degree of tact, diplomacy, and professionalism

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Time-management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, with ability to collect and maintain data with accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
