Who you are

• 5 or more years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or security engineering roles
• Deep hands on experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS
• Strong experience designing and securing cloud IAM, networking, and distributed systems at scale
• Extensive experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience building or operating detection and response systems including SIEM and cloud security monitoring
• Proven ability to translate compliance and risk requirements into technical implementations
• Experience collaborating with platform, DevOps, and product engineering teams
• Strong communicator who can influence architecture and engineering decisions across teams
• Comfortable operating independently and owning long term technical initiatives

• We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to provide technical leadership across cloud security architecture, detection and response, and platform enablement
• This role is not focused on ticket driven security work
• You will own cloud security systems and architecture end to end, partner closely with Platform and Product Engineering, and ensure that security controls are automated, scalable, and embedded into how Ada builds and operates its cloud environments
• You will act as the senior technical counterpart to engineering leadership and security leadership, translating risk and compliance requirements into concrete engineering solutions
• Establish a secure by default cloud security architecture that scales with Ada’s growth
• Reduce cloud security risk through automation and preventative controls
• Improve detection, response, and incident readiness across cloud environments
• Enable engineering teams to ship faster without compromising security
• Raise the bar for cloud security engineering maturity across the organization
