About the Position

ATS Langley is looking for 1 Repairs Technician! Repairs Technicians maintain the Big Ticket Items (BTI) and truck fleet electronics, provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Marketing and all On Street Service (OSS) departments, as well as provide sales support pertaining to product to external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and Maintenance of the local rental fleet and big-ticket items
  • Do minor repairs on company trucks such as revolving lights and arrow boards
  • Prepare consignment stock for sales or rentals
  • Act as the liaison for product ordered from Ver-Mac
  • Supply branches with support, repairs, and technical support
  • Provide technical phone support, trouble-shooting and training on all Ver-Mac products
  • Stay current on all ATS products
  • Assist the Product Specialist when new product is added to fleet
  • Order stock and maintain inventory of parts
  • Ensure all paperwork is to corporate standards and completed in a timely manner
  • Provide warranty service for sold equipment
  • Ensure Lean and 6 Sigma tasks are maintained daily
  • Repairing Fleet trucks and trailers as necessary. (Electronic and mechanical components)
  • Movement of trailers using forklift and/or truck when necessary
  • Assisting in inventory counts/management.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse and yard area clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field is an asset.
  • Ability to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol and fit test. *As this is a safety sensitive position, we have a zero tolerance policy for use of marijuana (medical or recreational). Fit test includes ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climbing ladders/stairs to access equipment, etc.
  • Previous experience working in the traffic control/construction industry is an asset.
  • Proficient computer literacy with Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
  • Ability to install software drivers and perform basic troubleshooting while communicating issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of print reading and motor controls (A.C. and D.C.)
  • Occasional after-hours work may be required to complete on-site repairs for clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Previous experience working with hand tools is an asset
  • Ability to work in all type of weather
