About the role

WCHC is seeking a candidate for a 12-week, full-time (37.5 hours/week)) role from May 4, 2026 to July 24, 2026

Position Summary:

The Accreditation Assistant provides assistance with accreditation activities at the Woolwich Community Health Centre (WCHC). This role works to organize and locate existing indicators in policies and practices that demonstrate alignment with accreditation standards and upload them into the accreditation portal.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accreditation Support:
  • Support preparation for accreditation surveys and ongoing compliance activities
  • Organize, format, and maintain accreditation documentation and evidence files
  • Assist with tracking accreditation action plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Maintain shared digital folders and document control systems
  1. Administrative Duties:
  • Provide reminders and follow-up with internal teams regarding documentation and deadlines
  • Support internal communication related to quality improvement initiatives
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams across programs
  • Provide guidance and administrative support to staff submitting accreditation evidence
  • Participate in quality improvement and planning meetings as assigned
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  1. Supervision & Support:
  • Orientation and training provided on accreditation standards, internal systems, and documentation processes

  • Expected to function independently within the role after receiving training

  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO

Qualifications:

  1. Education & Certifications:
  • Some post-secondary education in Health Administration, Office Administration, Quality Improvement, or related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  1. Experience:
  • Experience in health care, non-profit, or regulated environments preferred
  • Experience supporting quality improvement or accreditation processes considered an asset
  • Experience in prioritizing workload demands and problem-solving
  1. Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficiency in online data base systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

  • Previous experience with multi-use fax/copier/printer equipment.

  • Ability to process and solve complex problems and make decisions in a busy work environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract (12 weeks)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $23.30/hour

  • Plus 4% in lieu of vacation

  • Plus 4% in lieu of benefits

  • Enrolment in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
