About the role

Description Located in our Calgary office and reporting to the Manager, Indigenous Relations, the Senior Analyst Indigenous Relations supports the delivery of Indigenous Relations (IR) programs and initiatives, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, reporting, and coordination of activities. This role is responsible for managing assigned relationships, supporting operations and regulatory departments and stewardship reporting. A key aspect is facilitating effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.     This role requires regular travel to operating regions and participation in community meetings and events, including occasional evening and weekend commitment  Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Community Investment team, support the delivery of community engagement activities and events, including coordination, participation and organizing attendance of IPL leaders, as appropriate.- Build and maintain relationships with assigned Indigenous communities and stakeholders, ensuring consistent and effective engagement support the Business goals and objectives. - Maintain regular contact with Indigenous Community leadership or business development teams, including coordinating quarterly check-ins and annual reporting. - Support Operations and Maintenance activities and execute Indigenous related requirements and notifications.  - Manage data inputs and help prepare stewardship reports for IPL leaders, including spend tracking and reporting (e.g., spend maps).- Complete regulatory reporting in alignment with requirements, leveraging reporting tools.- Maintain Indigenous Relations databases, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.- Support the preparation of Indigenous Relations strategy, as well as project-specific or operations and maintenance engagement and Indigenous procurement strategies and execution plans.- Coordinate the delivery of Indigenous training initiatives across the organization.- Support Operations and Maintenance activities where required.- Working closely and collaboratively with Community Investment team- Support the Indigenous Relations working group, ensuring effective coordination, engagement, and follow-through on priorities.- Interface with Corporate Communications to support execution of joint initiatives and aligned messaging.- Provide cross-functional coordination to ensure alignment and effective execution of IR activities.- Supporting multiple business units to ensure Indigenous Relations priorities are aligned and effectively executed.Education, Skills and Experience
  • 6-10 years of experience in Indigenous Relations, stakeholder engagement, community relations, or a related field with demonstrated ability to manage engagement activities and external relationships.- Post secondary education in a relevant discipline is an asset.- Understanding of Indigenous engagement principles and practices.- Experience with reporting, data management, and coordination of initiatives.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust with stakeholders and work effectively across teams.- Ability to translate direction into practical action, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment in external interactions.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience preparing briefing materials and engagement documentation.Hours Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.   This role requires regular travel to operating regions and participation in community meetings and events, including occasional evening and weekend commitment    As this position is identified as safety and security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol, education, drivers abstract, criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.  Inter Pipeline recognizes the importance of properly rewarding our employees by offering attractive employee benefits.
