We are looking for an HR Advisor to support our CR+ operations across six locations in the BC region (approximately 200 employees). In this role, you will partner closely with leaders to support a wide range of human resources activities while contributing to a positive, engaging, and high-performing work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance and support across all areas of human resources. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will help drive key HR processes and foster a positive employee experience across multiple sites.

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees across 6 locations in the BC region
  • Support employee relations matters, including advising managers, preparing documentation, and guiding resolution strategies
  • Partner with HR Centers of Expertise to support full-cycle recruitment, including:
      • Job postings and sourcing
      • Resume screening and interviews
      • Offer preparation and onboarding coordination
  • Manage relationships with external staffing agencies to ensure alignment with hiring needs
  • Support the development, communication, and compliance of HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in the administration of the performance management process, ensuring completion and effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with legal and company standards
  • Provide guidance and tools to leaders to support their HR responsibilities
  • Support employee engagement, community involvement, and wellness initiatives
  • Contribute to succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational development efforts
  • Interpret collective agreements and support union-related matters (where applicable)
  • Promote Cascades’ values and contribute to a positive and engaging workplace culture

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience supporting plant operations, unionized environments, and safety-driven workplaces is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills—you know how to influence and build trust
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
