The expected base salary range for this position is $65/Hr - $70/Hr, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. Role Overview: Client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support large-scale modernization initiatives within core banking and enterprise technology transformation programs. This role is ideal for an intermediate to senior-level BSA with strong documentation, data mapping, API, and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with business, product, architecture, engineering, and delivery teams to translate business and technical requirements into clear, structured, and reusable solution artifacts. The role requires someone who is collaborative, detail-oriented, adaptable to feedback, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced modernization environment.
Key Initiatives: Core Book of Records Modernization Support modernization initiatives focused on core banking records and product-related data, including: Registered products Non-registered products Lending products
Legacy Modernization to Azure Cloud: Support migration and modernization of legacy systems into a cloud-based Azure environment, including documentation, integration mapping, and solution alignment activities.
Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solution requirements. Create, update, and maintain reusable documentation artifacts and living solution documents. Support migration-related documentation activities and ensure artifacts remain accurate and current. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to clarify and groom requirements. Create and maintain source-to-target data mapping documentation. Document APIs, interface agreements, payload structures, request/response flows, and integration points. Work with teams to understand API interactions within a microservices-based architecture. Develop process maps, system diagrams, and data flow documentation. Support end-to-end traceability between business requirements, technical solutions, and implementation artifacts. Use Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, user stories, documentation, and project tracking. Clarify field-level definitions, primary and foreign key relationships, system dependencies, and data movement across applications. Collaborate across business, technology, product, and delivery teams to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience: 7+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience preferred; strong intermediate candidates will also be considered. Proven experience documenting technical solution requirements and system specifications.
Strong understanding of APIs and integrations, including: API documentation Interface agreements Payload structures Request/response flows API interactions within microservices environments Strong data mapping and data flow analysis experience.
Ability to understand and document: Primary keys Foreign keys Field definitions Source-to-target mapping System-to-system integrations
Experience creating and maintaining: Data flow diagrams Process maps Solution documentation Business and technical requirements documents Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating documentation quickly and accurately.
Nice-to-Have Skills: Banking or financial services industry experience. Core banking domain knowledge. Experience with registered/non-registered products or lending products. Experience supporting Azure cloud migration or modernization initiatives. Understanding of SQL joins, including: Inner joins Left joins Right joins Outer joins Experience documenting Python-based APIs. Prior experience supporting legacy modernization programs.
