About Pizza Hotline

Food and Beverage Services
501-1,000 employees

Since 1986, Pizza Hotline has been an industry leader across Manitoba, focusing on innovation, quality and always serving our customers “Great Pizza at a Great Price".

Like our hometown of Winnipeg, Pizza Hotline grew from humble beginnings. Our story began in 1986, when Jerry and Theresa Cianflone, a young couple in their twenties, opened their first restaurant, Columbo Pizza. Despite long hours and tireless work, within a year they began looking to open another location where they would premiere a new concept with an emphasis on innovation and technology. They purchased what were the first pizza conveyor ovens in Winnipeg and made unbeatable value their unique proposition. In 1987, they opened the doors on their new concept and called it Primo Pizza, an immediate hit.

As their once-small company expanded, so did their thirst for innovation. In 1993 they opened one of the first centralized Call Centres in Western Canada. To better emphasize this new Call Centre, they changed their company name to Pizza Hotline and secured a new phone number, 222-2222. The phone number caught on like wild-fire and over the next few years Pizza Hotline continued to grow into one of Manitoba’s most recognizable brands.

Over the next decades Pizza Hotline continued to build on its foundations, adding new stores, team members, and technology, to eventually take its place as Manitoba’s top pizza chain, where it has stayed ever since.

The foundations of our company’s success are built around three key pillars: passion, innovation, and excellence. With a steadfast commitment to only delivering the best product and service to our customers, a keen eye for innovation, and a team of people who live and breathe Pizza Hotline every day, our company has been able to service the Manitoba market for decades, and with this continued vigor and passionate pursuit we will continue to expand into one of North America’s leading pizza chains.
