Material Planner / Analyst

Automotive industry (Metal Stamping and Welding )

Location Newmarket onsite

7am to 4pm

Responsible for ordering of materials, supplies, and other items as required. Follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery.

The Material analyst will have daily interaction with external Suppliers

RESPONSIBILITIES/EFFORTS

Materials Analyst Issue weekly releases for purchased items required for production Daily Receiving and monitor supplier shipments for parts required to ensure on time delivery Communicate any quality or delivery concerns to scheduling and management Send out RFQ for new quoted business Assist with new program launch and issues RFQ and PO’s for engineering requests Involved in supplier development (new and existing), selection, and negotiations Complete quarterly supplier performance evaluations and follow up on open issues Issue and maintain NCR system Responsible for maintaining Approved supplier list and other supplier documentation Maintains records of purchases, shipments, and related matters Assist with Cycle counting and organization of parts in assembly Supports physical inventories scheduled throughout the year Co-ordinate with Accounts Payable departments to troubleshoot any invoice discrepancy Back up for MRO Buyer Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the IATF / TS 16949 Quality System Standard Follows Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety, 5S and Housekeeping guidelines and rules; Reports all unsafe & unhealthy conditions to Management or a member of the
