About Relief Collective The Relief Collective is Islamic Relief Canada's charity shop, providing an online platform for supporters to contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty through purchasing rightsholder products and merchandise. The proceeds from the Relief Collective go directly towards supporting our projects and programs worldwide.

Job Purpose Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Charity Shop Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of The Relief Collective, ensuring smooth management of inventory, order fulfillment, product development, and marketing execution.

This role requires a balance of operational efficiency, creative thinking, and strategic marketing insight to ensure the shop remains both mission-aligned and commercially effective. The Charity Shop Specialist will work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to streamline processes, strengthen brand presence, and maximize the shop’s impact.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operations Management
  • Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficiency across all functions.
  • Manage inventory to ensure products are consistently available, well-tracked, and accurately reported.
  • Ensure orders are processed, fulfilled, and delivered in a timely manner, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement systems to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflows.
  • Product Development
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design and launch new products aligned with brand values.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
  • Oversee product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring quality and relevance.
  • Innovate around packaging, sustainability, and storytelling to strengthen product appeal
  • Marketing & Campaign Execution
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and sales for The Relief Collective.
  • Ensure branding, messaging, and visual identity are consistent across all shop-related communications.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage social, digital, and offline channels to maximize impact.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, applying insights to future initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with the finance and operations teams to align shop activities with organizational goals.
  • Build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and fulfillment partners.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives where shop activities intersect with broader campaigns and programs.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, e-commerce, or marketing.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, order fulfillment, and product development.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret data and inform decision-making.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to translate brand identity into engaging products and campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Starting Salary $66,500.00
