About the role
Line of Business: Aggregates Pay Range: $67,640.00 – $85,680.00 Quality Control Technician - Aggregates About Us Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. What You’ll Be Doing Collect aggregate samples from pits, quarries, stockpiles, autosamplers, and production belts following standardized procedures. Travel regularly to remote sites to validate materials, interact with site personnel, and transport samples back to the lab. Conduct routine sampling and testing of materials to ensure product quality and compliance including sieve analysis, gradation checks, moisture content tests, and other aggregate-related tests. Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying quality issues and contributing to corrective actions. Collaborate with production and quality teams while maintaining accurate records, proper equipment calibration, and safe, organized work areas. What We Are Looking For Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred, with experience in aggregate, mining, and construction environments. Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured field and lab procedures. Comfortable performing physically demanding work and working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience operating drones or holding a valid drone license is an asset. Valid Class 5 driver’s license. Work Environment Work performed in both laboratory and outdoor industrial settings. Frequent travel to remote sites with significant driving required. Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and moving equipment. Role may involve standing, walking, operating testing tools or machinery, and lifting up to 50lbs as part of regular job duties. Use of personal protective equipment required.
