Manitoba Health, Seniors, and Long-Term Care is seeking to fill a Registration and Client Services Supervisor position for the Insured Benefits Branch. This branch is responsible for determining client eligibility for insured benefits programs, registering clients and responding to customer inquiries by providing information by telephone, in person and through written correspondence on matters relating to the registration for Manitoba Health Services Insurance Plan.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Extensive experience providing clerical and administrative support in an office setting
- Experience interpreting, explaining and applying policies and procedures and/or legislation or Acts to the general public
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience developing working relationships and interacting effectively with team members, managers, other staff and the public, with tact and diplomacy
- Experience supervising and/or leading a team with diverse backgrounds and perspectives
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the public and coworkers at various levels
- Experience preparing written communication for the purpose of composing decision letters, advisory letters, and emails to the general public
- Proficiency using Power BI, Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Teams or similar software applications
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with experience working independently in a fast-paced environment
Desired:
- Knowledge of the Health Services Insurance Act
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French
Duties:
The Registration and Client Services Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Registration and Client Services unit which includes the functions of the Family Doctor Finder Program (FDF), adjudication of coverage applications for health care benefits, temporary out of province, registration and the contact centre (in person, via phone or in writing). This position determines that the use of proper procedures, policies and correct interpretation of the acts and regulations are followed. The Supervisor creates a variety of daily/weekly/annual plans, such as vacation plans, performance feedback plans, and training plans to ensure the department continues to operate efficiently while having a clear communication plan for employees. The incumbent is also responsible for collaborating with the Assistant Manager with staff recruitment efforts.
