Job Description
This incumbent will solicit, coordinate and manage group business for Transat Tours Canada and provide excellent customer service while increasing sales and maximizing revenues ensuring the company remains competitive in the market place.
Responsabilities:

Quote group space and perform follow up in order to secure maximum sales;

Achieve expected sales targets;
-
Manage all aspects of group booking from start to finish including quality control;

Negotiate separate contracts related to extra allotment, functions, meetings, site inspections, etc. as required;

Answer and respond to calls from travel agents regarding availability, prices, product information and general group inquiries;
-
Work with designated key accounts to manage their group business;
-
Communicate with Supervisors to provide market intelligence related to groups;
-
Process price match requests;
-
Cross sell and promote key product & ancillary products as required;
-
Work with group administrators to ensure file updates are complete;
-
Assist group administrators with file management;
-
Adhere to department processes, policies and product updates;
-
Participate in travel shows, familiarization trips and product launches as necessary.
Qualifications
- 2 – 3 years travel industry experience, groups or call centre experience an asset;
- Sales experience; ability to close sales;
- Travel and tourism diploma;
- Proficient in TTS, Radixx, Outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel;
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills;
- TICO / OPC Certified;
- Be analytical with above average understanding of accounting;
- Possess a positive attitude and ability to work closely within a team environment;
- Ability to make decisions, problem solve, multi-task and work under pressure;
- Must be flexible & adaptable with working hours including shift work, weekends and statutory holidays;
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *
- A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
