Job Summary

As Telematics Supervisor, you'll coordinate the people, systems, and processes that keep our rental fleet connected and visible. You'll oversee the day-to-day telematics function, coordinating installation activities, supporting branch teams, and helping develop a growing telematics program. As the function continues to evolve, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater leadership responsibilities, including supervising and developing a dedicated team.

What You'll Be Doing

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the telematics function, assigning and prioritizing installation, troubleshooting, and connectivity work. Provide guidance and support to installers, branch technicians, and internal stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently. Help establish installation standards, best practices, and quality expectations across the organization. Support the growth and development of the telematics team as the function expands. Oversee the administration and performance of all telematics platforms across the rental fleet. Manage telematics hardware inventory, installations, activations, and replacements. Monitor API integrations and data feeds to ensure accurate equipment location, engine hours, utilization, and diagnostic information. Coordinate with Operations, IT, branch teams, and vendors to resolve technical issues and improve telematics performance. Develop reports and identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency, data quality, and business processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Team

Experience in telematics, fleet management, equipment rental, or a related technical environment. Experience coordinating projects, supporting teams, or leading initiatives is considered an asset. Class G Driver's license and a satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). Proficiency with fleet management systems, telematics portals, and data reporting tools. Ability to interpret technical data, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors. Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset but not required—we're looking for someone with the potential to grow into a people leadership role. Strong understanding of telematics hardware, software platforms, and system integrations. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
