Position Summary The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance across the company.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP and interpret the impact of new standards on the company’s operations.
  • Actively support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations of key P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Preparing account level fluctuation analysis
  • Serve as a key liaison for the company’s external auditors, especially related to technical accounting matters.

Revenue Accounting

  • Apply ASC 606 to evaluate and account for complex SaaS revenue arrangements, including multi-element contracts, usage-based billing, and deferred revenue.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining revenue recognition policies and procedures.

Cross-Functional Projects & Support

  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams on ad hoc projects
  • Act as the primary accounting point of contact for select business processes or initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce risk.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm and/or within a SaaS or high-growth technology company.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment with an ability to prioritize deadlines
  • Required to work EST hours to accommodate the business

Compensation & Benefits

  • The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

Compensation Range MIN: $72,100- MID: $103,000 - MAX: $123,600 Currency: CAD

MIN: $77,000 - MID: $110,000 - MAX: $132,000 Currency: USD
